285-400 CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will implement lane closures for construction preparation for the Mount Vernon Highway bridge over SR 400, guardrail repairs, subsurface utility investigations, tree clearing activities, sweeping maintenance activities and geotechnical investigations for the Transform 285/400 improvement project

SR 400 CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Intermittent Flexible Shoulder Lane Closures Planned  Crews will implement daily closures on northbound and southbound SR 400 flexible shoulder lanes between the MARTA North Springs station ramp and Pitts Road, daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Lanes will be closed intermittently to facilitate construction of the Transform 285/400 improvement project. Near-term closures will facilitate tree clearing efforts and utility relocations in preparation for interchange reconstruction.

Next Week’s Closures

Traffic pacing will periodically occur on the I-285 eastbound and westbound on-ramps to SR 400, both northbound and southbound, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to assist crews with tree clearing and landscape prep activities. Pacing may require the ramp lane width to be reduced to allow construction vehicles to enter and exit the work zone.
